Buying Guide
1) Single-walled vs. double-walled
Do you want extra heat retention? Then also check out double-walled teapots. A double-walled option is often also handy for on the go (see portable teapot).
2) Does it suit your tea?
Stainless steel is widely applicable. For a "viewing moment" during brewing, glass is popular (see glass teapot), while porcelain is extra classic and neutral (see porcelain teapot).
3) Filtering loose leaf tea
For loose leaf tea, you can use a built-in infuser or a separate tea strainer.

Complete it with teacups and keep your tea fresh in tea boxes. For a complete table, you can look at tea sets.

How do I clean my teapot and accessories?
Maintenance advice:
- Rinse with lukewarm water after use and dry immediately with a soft cloth.
- Porcelain / Glass / Stainless Steel: mild detergents only; light descaling (water + a little vinegar), then rinse thoroughly.
- Cast Iron (enameled): do not wash in dishwasher; avoid thermal shocks; dry thoroughly to prevent rust.
- Clay (Yixing type): rinse with clear water only (no detergent); use one teapot per tea type.
- Copper: interior tinned/stainless steel — rinse and dry immediately; polish exterior occasionally if desired.
Always consult the specific instructions on the product page if they differ.
How do I choose the right teapot?
The choice depends on the type of tea (green/white, oolong, black, pu-erh), the volume (solo, duo, family), and the material (neutral porcelain, visual glass, heat-retaining cast iron, clay for characterful tea, robust stainless steel).
